Daniel Jones Appointed CEO of Shields Group
On the 1st of January 2015 The Board of Shields Environmental appointed Daniel Jones as CEO of the group.
Gordon Shields, Chairman stated ‘Daniel Jones joined Shields Environmental 10 years ago and has led the development of Shields innovative services transforming the company from its origins of environmental management to a company that delivers a complete life cycle service for telecoms network operators enabling them to run their networks as cost effectively and as efficiently as possible. Daniel is driven by customer needs and is an expert at designing, creating and modifying processes and software solutions that enable network operators to minimise their operating expenditure culminating just a few months ago in the launch of Shields Advanced Solutions. I know Daniel will lead the business onto greater and greater success’

I came to Shields Environmental 10 years ago because I believed Shields was unique in its mission to integrate the needs of large business with the protection of our delicate environment. I was inspired by the people working for Shields, most of whom are still with the company today. This is the very same inspiration that continues to drive me today to innovate and to develop the business to even greater success.

This is an important time in our industry, the network operators have identified, often with our help, that their operating expenses can be lowered considerably. Our Advanced Solutions will play a large part in enabling this change, they have already been used by a number of networks throughout Europe extremely successfully and the take up of these services is incredibly encouraging.
